Community

Precision is committed to building a business that also enhances the community where we live and work. Our team members are active in groups such as the REACH Council, a regional economic development group, and the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, and participate in numerous community/industry events Precision hosts each year. Precision also supports local nonprofits through donated funds, construction services, and employee volunteerism, including the Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County, ECHO, People’s Self-Help Housing, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo School of Construction Management and Cal Poly Orfalea College of Business, and the California High School Rodeo Association.

Our new headquarters in San Luis Obispo will carry a Green Business Certification from EcoSLO. The certification requires sustainable practices in supply ordering (such as eliminating single-use plastic and moving to paperless communication), environmentally friendly building materials, energy efficiency (such as motion-sensor lights), a hybrid work environment, and more.

Precision’s support of the community — including our employees — has been recognized with a 2022 Community Spirit Award, given jointly by the Small Business Administration and the Pacific Coast Business Times. Precision has also received a 2022 Diamond Level Family Friendly Business Award, given by the San Luis Obispo County, the Chamber of Commerce, and First 5 SLO County. The award recognizes businesses demonstrating the highest level of commitment to policies such as flexible time off, remote work, predictable scheduling, babies at work, paid and unpaid leave, and more.
