Precision Construction Services Awarded Construction Contract for the El Portal Maintenance Complex

Precision Construction Services was awarded the construction contract for a project located at Yosemite National Park’s Maintenance Complex in El Portal, CA.

The project includes the removal and replacement of an approximately 40,000 square foot warehouse roof membrane, remediation of water damaged plywood sheathing, mold remediation, removal and disposal of a non-functioning, obsolete photovoltaic system, as well as parapet wall sealing, replacement of roof drains, crickets, roof hatch, and other work included as options, such as the replacement of skylights, HVAC units, metal flashing, as well as the removal and replacement of sealants on concrete tilt-up panel joints.

Precision has built a strong relationship with the National Park Service and established a presence in Yosemite National Park through our work on a number of projects, including the Yosemite Village South Lot Comfort Station, Seven Tents Pavillion, and several projects at the historical Ahwahnee Hotel. The basis for this relationship and Precision’s successful execution of past projects is the Company’s experienced team of skilled craftsmen and expertise in the area of historic preservation and restoration work.

Jerry Troyna, Precision’s superintendent had this to say about the upcoming work, “I’m super excited that NPS chose Precision for this roofing project. The Precision team is the right fit for the challenges that come with the job. The work will be done over an occupied building straight through the winter months of the year. We are going to do a great job and we are excited to get started.”

The project is expected to start in early 2021.
